Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall is going to be the largest mall built in the world by Emaar Properties and is just like Burj Dubai a part of "Downtown Dubai." It will cover an area of 12.1 million ft2 with 10-15 smaller malls built inside of it. 9 million ft2 will consist of shopping retail space containing about 1200 stores. Attractions will include the world largest gold souk, the Fashion Island, the Galeries Lafayette department store (one of the world’s largest aquariums), an Olympic-sized ice skating rink and a view of the (soon to be completed) world's tallest building, Burj Dubai.

seeing as it takes about four full days to walk through the entire mall of america and actually look at the shops - this will probably take a good week to get through...

i agree with alla, it might end up being a better investment to just move into or at least in direct proximity of the mall...

This mall is about the size of my home town. Do they have little mini tour buses to drive you around? It's cool that there's a skating rink although it's hard to believe there are skaters in Dubai.

Oh you'd be very surprised anonymous. I knew a few skaters myself; they even go to different clubs that compete against eachother. I heard when the mall is complete, major local skating competitions and shows will be held there.
